Key West: Food on Dry Land

Roosters crow all around me. Cats sleep in the warm morning sun. Butterflies flutter under the loosely draped canvas canopies. A jazz trio completes the scene amid the kitsch. There was a forty-five minute wait for a table. So I belly up to the bar for a couple of cold mimosas.

Finally seated, I was told that the lobster today was fresh and amazing. So I thought, why not get something a little different. Lobster Benedict with key lime hollandaise and grilled tomato. The tomato was extra. I've never been a seafood eater, but in the spirit of adventure, I've been open to trying new foods.
