Key West: Food on Dry Land

Later that night, it was time for dinner. B.O.'s Fish Wagon is a local legend. Assorted and random planks make up the roof of this local fave. Doll parts and auto parts. License plates an street signs. And more planks to make up the bar. It's a place that scares tourists. Perfect for me.

I had the fried grouper sandwich with key lime tartar because, when I asked what I should order, the girl behind the counter said, "Well, the grouper is what we're famous for." She told me this as she was trying to fix the cash register which had decided to eat the receipts as the came off the roll. No matter what you order, get the fries. Perfectly fried and plenty salty.

After I was done and after I cleaned the bird shit off of my phone (seriously, great aim there Tweety), I met Bill and Gretchen of Evansville, IN. They agreed with my take on the tourism vs the local faves. Bill said, "I tend to look for a place that could be two days away from being condemned. That's where I want to eat."
