My Trip to Key West

I needed to get away last month. I needed some quiet time to myself away from the hustle, away from the bustle. I love New York. That is to say, I love to hate New York. Sometimes this pushing and yelling, the beeping and screeching, the pressures of this city get to be too much. So I needed to get away.
I tossed imaginary darts at imaginary maps. All I wanted was quiet, solitude for a few days. My choices were the desert or the ocean. After a little thinking, I decided on water. Key West to be specific. The deciding factor came when reading reviews about a hotel called the Inn at Key West on TripAdvisor.com.

All of the reviews were glowing with one glaring exception. This person was trashing the place. The fact that this was the only bad review — and it was so angry — made me think something was amiss. Right after this rant was a impassioned and long reply from the hotel manager. That sold it for me. This means he and his staff would be attentive and that they take the needs of the guests — as well as their hotel's image — very seriously.
I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed is that the pictures on their website were not an exaggeration. The place was as gorgeous in person. Usually everyone spices up the marketing to get your attention, but that was not the case here. From the lobby to the pool to the rooms, it was exactly how it looked online.
