Early to Bed:
Another party missed. Another date canceled. Deadlines are creeping up.
Late to Rise:
As I forced myself out of bed this morning to to the laundry I should have done two weeks ago and clean the dishes I should have cleaned a week ago, streams of unedited words collided in my head.
Anxiety sets in again.

Persistence of Memory by Salvador DalĂ (1931)
A troubling thought passed thru all of those colliding streams. I feel as though I'm letting people down. the irony is that time management is more or less how I make my living. Most of my professional career has been centered around the art and science of logistics.
Whether it was trafficking products to and from points far and wide, or producing content published on numerous websites. My very job security depended upon my ability to meet deadlines in an organized and cost-effective manner. And yet here I am once again in a panic over things left undone in my own life.
Personal and professional things that were left undone by sheer laziness on my part leaving me in a constant scramble to catch back up. Nothing else is to blame or has ever been to blame. No matter what I've said to the contrary, Time is not my enemy. I feel more like I am the enemy of Time.
Time is laid out neatly for me to follow. All ticks and tocks come at the same rate day in and day out. They never cease just to mess with my agenda. It's not that Time doesn't care about my agenda, it simply cannot be bothered. In fact, Time knows nothing of my agenda because it is not of any consequence.
Regardless of whether I finish typing this post or designing that site or going to some shindig, Time moves forward uninterrupted. I would like to take a moment to apologize to Time for always blaming it for my lot in life. I want to tell Time that I know who and what are really at fault.
But that moment has since passed, and Time has since moved on.
